All Star Chem-Dry
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A: High pressure and steam cleaning is a combination that forces water and soap all the way through to your carpets, to the backing. There is good chance that litres of water might be left behind trapping sticky soap residues deep into the fibbers of your carpets. Therefore, it will create the risk of attracting more dirt sooner than later. Leaving sticky soap residue behind as with any other wet area, will creates mould and bacteria.
Chem-Dry’s patented Carbonating Cleaner is applied using a low-pressure applicator that applies millions of microscopic carbonating bubbles into your carpet, then with the power of carbonation lifting the dirt and grime to the surface to be extracted and swept away forever. This process leaves your carpet in a drier, cleaner, healthier condition and prevents re-soiling.
The real answer is before the dirt becomes visible to help avoiding permanent damage. New carpet warranties call for cleaning every 12 or 18 months to keep valid. The best approach is regular maintenance where high traffic areas are cleaned more frequently at least once per year. Bedrooms and lesser-used carpets can be cleaned every 18-24 months.
No. Actually, a dirty carpet will not last nearly as long as a clean carpet. Dirt is abrasive, just like sandpaper. Every time you step on the carpet you grid dirt into fibres cutting them like a knife. Regular vacuuming is important, but it cannot remove any tacky or embedded dirt. The longer you wait to have your carpets cleaned, the more damage you do to your carpet, and the faster it will wear out.
Yes. The greatest reward of using Chem-Dry Cleaning solutions are that your carpets are left clean and free of sticky soap residues. Instead of harsh chemicals and soaps, we use a CO2 crystal clear bubble dirt-extracting agent that leaves no sticky substance behind. After we removed the soil, stains and grease from your carpets or Oriental Rugs the cleaning solution evaporates, leaving your carpets clean longer. After many test done in the lab using different carpets and fabrics, show that the Chem-Dry method is the only way to long lasting carpets and upholstery.
A lot of people ask that question. Actually “Chem“ part in our name stands for chemistry we utilize in our process not the chemicals we use. Our carbonating cleaning process integrates a perfect balance between chemistry and nature and uses natural, eco-friendly cleaning products.
We ask our customers to move any breakables like lamps, vases, picture frames or other small decorations. Some smaller furniture should be moved away to create some extra room for our technician to move the rest of the furniture around. We will move what one technician can safely move (such as couches, loveseats, chairs, tables). We will not move any computers, televisions, stereos and other electronics unless the customer disconnects all the cables and if necessary, we will get customer’s assistance to do that. Heavy furniture like china cabinets, wall units, bookshelves, pianos will stay in place, but all the carpet will be cleaned close around. In the bedrooms, the beds can only be moved from side to side if there is enough room to do that.
You should be able to walk on carpets right away, as there is no dirt-attracting residue left behind after the cleaning is completed. However, to stay away from potential slipping accident on a damp surface, we recommend that carpets be left to dry for a couple of hours. Most carpets dry in 1-2 hours, although this drying time depends on the type of carpet fibre, the soiling condition of the carpet prior to cleaning (amount of solution applied) and of course, the weather conditions.
We have a wide range of stain removal products and specialized stain removal systems that can help lift some of the most difficult stains. It really depends on how much time the stain had to set in the carpet. If a stain is relatively, new it can be much easier to remove it than a stain that had plenty of time to sit and set in the carpet. Realistically there might be some destructive stains, which even our products cannot remove it. We are very confident in our skills and products and if we can’t remove a stain, no one can.
